The Orange County Courthouse opened in 1997 to accommodate a fast-growing community with a high demand for judicial services. Its 23-story tower encompasses courtrooms, hearing rooms. chambers, jury services, and court administration, as well as offices of the Clerk of Courts and the Sheriff’s department. A lot is happening in the Orange County courthouse, so much that it isn’t always an easy location to navigate.
Decades later, Orange County continues to grow and there are still many services offered in the courthouse. However, one thing has changed since 1997 – the tower is much easier to navigate today thanks to the newly created Court User Liaison position.
Stationed at the info booth near the center of the rotunda, the Court User Liaison personifies the Ninth’s commitment to making justice accessible. No matter what business brings you to the courthouse or what assistance you need–whether it’s finding the hearing room for your court proceedings, getting a passport at the Clerk of Courts, or figuring out the specific kinds of deeds you can get at the courthouse–the Liaison is there to serve you.
Figuring out exactly which Orange County or State location provides the service you need isn’t always easy.
